In Christianity there are some traditions and rituals which the word of God has given us. Two of those are water baptism and communion. Baptism and Communion are often referred to as ordinances because they are things that Jesus told us to do.

Baptism and communion are NOT necessary for salvation, but they are commands of God used to strengthen our faith and reassure our hearts. When we fully understand what they mean, we will appreciate and value them more.
